Nuplex Construction Products are the New Zealand distributors for Altro Safety Flooring. For over 50 years Altro have been developing and producing safety flooring combining slip resistance, hygiene and practicality. Altro Safety Flooring has a built-in bacteriostat, which prevents the growth of most micro-organisms of hygienic importance.

Nuplex Construction Products stocks the Impressionist range, stylish ideal for heavy duty areas requiring safety underfoot, VM20, a budget priced safety flooring, T20 which is specially designed for bare feet in wet areas and D25 the “Designer” range of safety flooring. Other products in the Altro range can be ordered on indent only.

How Altro Safety Flooring Works

Altro safety flooring's unique patented construction of flexible, high grade vinyl with mineral grains throughout its thickness, and diamond hard silicon carbide in the surface ensures a slip resistant, durable floor which is also easy to clean.

Here's how it works. Underfoot pressure compresses the floor, leaving the mineral grains proud of the surface providing grip. When pressure is released the floor regains its original, smooth, easily cleaned surface.
