Soprafix is a mechanically fastened, double layer membrane roofing system.

The first layer is fastened with screws and specific washers and the outer edge is torched together. Then the final layer, Soprasun or Sopralene, is fully torched over the Soprafix. Soprafix effecively solates the substrate and any movement as the two membrane layers can "float" to a degree. Can be used with or without insulation. Soprafix may be applied over an existing roof without the need to remove it. This has obvious advantages in that the building remains estentially waterproof while the new roofing is installed.

The photo on left is un-insulated but roof insulation could have been applied prior to the Soprafix. The screws would go through thr insulation into the substrate. The aggregated second layer will be overlayed on the completion of the Soprafix in the photo.
